In the beginning, there were two
Faces on the stage. Lines and lines flew
By and the actors felt the rage.
A true story, hearts did tell,
Of wars and death and things.
About the loves of theirs that fell,
And all the nonsense that death brings

These dark thoughts have caught my page,
For all my thoughts feel like bondage.
I fight and fight as my thoughts lay siege.
My mind is filled with forgotten creeds,
And wisdom has left my league.
All these things, and all my deeds
Tell me of all the things that should be,
Like ships setting out for sea,
And the beach leaving the sailors’ view.
My thoughts, around my neck…
The Albatross of all my deeds.
They said I would not be upset,
Then they turned around and
Said “I’d probably lose the bet.”
Then I opened the door and heard the sound
Of all their lights screaming in my eyes.
My mind was filled with many sighs,
And my thoughts up and died…

“I swear, it was a lie!”

The truth worked again,
Bent and reshaped, I went insane,
As my words, past my thoughts,
Begin to gain. I knew the truth tied
Behind the plan, and I have caught up again.

They said I should look for Fame,
(And I thought I was insane!)
On this I found immediate blame,
In society and all its gain.

In this I shall end my thoughts,
Because love cannot be bought
